Los Angeles Police Officers issue citations to homeless for illegal camping on Venice Beach, Thursday, June 10, 2021. In addition to issuing citations, the LAPD Officers were offering information on resources for the homeless and explaining where it is legal to camp on public property and where it is illegal.

THE CLASS

The Class Summer Series fitness class at the Santa Monica Pier, Saturday, June 5, 2021. The Class Summer Series is an invitation to move out of the mind and into the body through connection to the earth, the sun, and the community. The Class is a 60-minute cathartic workout experience. Teachers lead students through the fire of The Class in a safe outdoor setting. Students walk away inspired by the surroundings while having an experience that connects them with the environment, their body, heart, and the people around them. The Class Summer Series are in partnership with Saje Natural Wellness.

"A Very Gay Mural”

Nicholas Scheppard and Jenson Titus (@verygaypaint) paint a, "A Very Gay Mural” at the Santa Monica Pier for #PrideMonth, Wednesday, June 2, 2021.


Nicholas Scheppard and Jenson Titus are Los Angeles based comedians who, through the use of ancient gay wizardry, began turning walls gay with paint in 2020.

The art installation is presented in partnership with Allies in Arts, a local nonprofit whose mission is to support womxn, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists who are often underrepresented in creative industries.
