Marybeth Guinea was a Heal the Bay volunteer who was a victims of Channel Islands Boat Fire on September 2, 2019. Thirty-four people were killed when the 75-foot commercial diving vessel caught fire.

Deceased Man at Crescent Bay Gazebo
Santa Monica Police Officers responded to report of a “person down” at the Gazebo located at Ocean Ave. and Bicknell Ave on January 23rd at about 3:20 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they located an unresponsive white male and immediately began CPR. Fire personnel arrived and took over life-saving efforts, however shortly after declared the victim deceased. There were no signs of foul-play; the investigation determined the male subject may have suffered a sudden medical emergency. The LA County Coroner’s Office personnel responded and took possession of the decedent.
