On Friday. June 9, 2006,  Abby Sher  walks in silence, painting a red line down the middle of the sidewalk on Main Street in Santa Monica. At the same hour every day, six days a week, Sher will paint the line while walking very slowly - at the rate of one step per drop of blood dripping from an IV - to graphically depict the toll of war and violent conflict on us all regardless of our politics.
