On behalf of the planning committee, Nat Trives presents a special engraved watch  to Santa Monica Police Department's Chief James T. Butts, Jr at the end of the Community Salute party that was held in his honor at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel on Thursday, August 17, 2006. The watch is inscribed,  "Chief Butts, Thank you for your many years of service. SMPD, IPD and ALL your friends." Chief James T. Butts, Jr  will be the Deputy Executive Director Airport Law enforcement and protection Services at the Los Angeles International Airport.
