ART LA 2009, the New Los Angeles International Contemporary Art Fair, attracted over 8,000 collectors, curators, artists and contemporary art lovers from around the globe. ART LA is one of the most significant annual cultural events in greater Los Angeles. ART LA 2009 presented 60 of the top international and Los Angeles-based galleries and new programming, including special artist exhibitions and crossover events linking art with music, film, architecture and design. Special exhibitions were devoted to experimental collaborations, painting, sculpture, photography and film. ART LA provided a platform for exhibitors to display their work to an international audience. ART LA supports the Los Angeles community by hosting a number of city-wide events throughout the duration of the fair.
