Professor of Clinical Entrepreneurship at University of Southern California, Dr. William H. Crookston explains the three P words (Preparation, Presentation & Practice) to help Santa Monica High School Junior, Scott Tamaki, 16, get his first job during the annual "Employer & Student Expo" at Virginia Avenue Park on Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Tamaki is looking for a job in the music industry.

The two-hour event, for youth between the ages of 14-24 who live or go to school in Santa Monica, included representatives from businesses looking to hire youth for summer employment as well as full and part-time positions. In addition, paid and unpaid internship and volunteer opportunities were available for those interested. Workshops were conducted in conjunction with the Expo as well as training in interviewing skills. The Employer & Student Expo was presented by the City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce.
