Gourmet Food Trucks

The California Heritage Museum Executive Director Tobi Smith, presents Southern California Mobile Food Vendors Association’s CEO Matthew Geller with a certificate of appreciation in honor of  the one year anniversary of the Gourmet Food Truck Event on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. This event occurs weekly every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at The California Heritage Museum and The Victorian’s parking lot, during which approximately ten trucks provide a variety of unique culinary experiences.

All trucks are members of the SoCal Mobile Food Vendors’ Association (SCMFVA). There are more than 100 members, so each week as the trucks rotate, cusumers will discover new and different eating experiences. 

Sit-down eating accommodations and restrooms are provided by The Victorian, while picnic grounds is available on the Heritage Museum’s lawn.  Beverages may be purchased at The Victorian, including water, soft drinks, beer, wine and mixed drinks from their full bar

Among the recent trucks to host their gourmet food are:

NomNom: Star of Food Network’s “Great Food Truck Race” serves “Bahn Mi” or Vietnamese  sandwiches and other Vietamese inspired dishes

TapaBoy: Adobo bowls and tapas

Calbi: Korean BBQ fusion tacos and burritos

Don Chow Tacos: “ Chino-meets-Latino” fusion

No Reservations: Combination California and French cuisine

India Jones: Gourmet Indian Food

CoolHaus: Gourmet, artisan, all-natural ice cream

All proceeds from SCMFVA lot rentals go directly to the California Heritage Museum’s community programming. To date, more than $50,000 has been donated to the Heritage Museum by the Association !!!

Limited free parking can be found behind the Heritage Museum in its parking lot.  Visitors to the Gourmet Food Truck event may also park in the adjacent metered parking lots that run North/South along the backside of Main Street (Neilson Way).  Valet car and free bike parking is available.

The California Heritage Museum and The Victorian are located on the corner of Main Street and Ocean Park Boulevard (2612 Main Street) in Santa Monica.  The event site is 1/2 mile south of Pico Boulevard and can be reached by the number 10 freeway.
