Paddle boarders compete during the Santa Monica Pier Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival on Saturday, June 11, 2016. The festival is an annual all-day, family friendly celebration of decades of surf, paddleboard and lifeguard history. The Santa Monica Pier Paddleboard & Ocean Festival benefits Heal the Bay, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium and its public marine education facility. Heal the Bay will receive a portion of net proceeds from the event.
