One of the premier schools for cuban style salsa (casino) in Los Angeles, RITP offers free classes that are taught by their excellent volunteer instructors and maintains operations solely based on donations and membership. Founded in 2004 by Tania De La Pena, RITP was inspired by groups in other cities doing various forms of social dance “in the park” and since then has grown to become what it is today. Since it’s founding, RITP has grown to include three active chapters and growing throughout the greater Los Angeles area, not to mention two affiliate chapters internationally, and has seen the number of participants grow from a handful of people to over 400 and growing strong.
