Ocean Avenue from Broadway to Colorado Blvd. was closed for about two hours this morning while Santa Monica Police and Firefighters, with a Department of Mental Health clinician tried to talk down a man from a tree at Palisades Park, Tuesday, February 16, 2021. The man may have been suicidal. He would not come down from the tree. After a couple of hours, the emergency personnel de-escalated the situation by leaving the area with the man still in the tree.
