𝙎𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨: As part of Arts Month, Artist Yvette Gellis, (@yvettegellis) with help from her crew, installs a 400-foot long mural entitled, “Sacred Spaces,” in front of the Annenberg Community Beach House, Friday, April 16, 2021. The artist will be painting onsite periodically through April 21st. The completed mural will be on view through the summer.
Born and raised in the Chicago area, Yvette Gellis' contemplation of the vast open terrain in contrast to the urban sprawl set up structures for her painting that echo or reiterate the impermanent and mutable states depicted in her work.
