The Venice Beach Safe Team patrols at the Venice Beach Boardwalk and stopped a fight between homeless individuals and an actavist on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

The Safe Team performs routine patrols on foot, bicycle, or car within the BID boundaries. They respond to and assess unsafe, non-emergency situations and identify a path to resolution, working with appropriate authorities as needed. They help with public intoxication, aggressive panhandling, noise violations, or other disorderly conduct. They assist with trespassing, including vandalism, theft, or graffiti in progress. They support for compliance with Los Angeles’ policies regarding homeless encampments, support for compliance with Venice Beach Boardwalk regulations and repor property damages or non-working street utilities within the BID boundaries to appropriate parties for resolution or repair

The Venice Beach Safety Team is provided by the Venice Beach Business Improvement District, a nonprofit organization helping to make venice cleaner and safer.

The Safe Team operates 7 days a week. Normal hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The VB BID’s primary purpose is to provide clean and safe services within the BID zones, above and beyond what the City alone can deliver.
