The computer-animated adventure film, based on the beloved Mario video game franchise, starred an impressive ensemble of voice actors including Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Fred Armisen, Sebastian Maniscalco, Charles Martinet, and Kevin Michael Richardson.
The collaboration between Nintendo, Illumination, and Universal resulted in the highly-anticipated movie, which premiered in Los Angeles on April 1, 2023, and was released in the United States on April 5, 2023, followed by Japan on April 28, 2023.
