The future of LED advertisement floats by the Santa Monica Pier on Monday, May 7, 2018.  The boat travels more than 3 miles across Santa Monica Bay displaying static to video messages campaigns just 220 to 300 yards from the coastline. It run 10 to 15 seconds per ad on a 2 min advertisement loop while the boat operates 8 hours a day 7 days a week. The advertisements are displayed on a 48ft by 12ft HD double sided screens designed to emit sharp, glare free picture that can be viewed perfectly at any time of the day from a far distance. LimeBike, the new dock-free electric bike program, has launched in Santa Monica. The cost is $1 to unlock and 15 cents per minute. The electric assist bikes can reach a maximum speed of 14.8 miles per hour.
