Malaysia Dance Troupe perform at the Third Street Promenade during Malaysia Kitchen Night Market on Friday, December 10, 2010. The Malaysia Kitchen Night Market featured an array of traditional Malaysian street grub. From chicken satay with spicy peanut sauce to beef rendang (a sumptuously spiced dry beef curry) and nasi lemak (a tasty coconut rice dish served with spicy curry chicken or beef rendang), offerings draw upon Malaysian cuisine's Malay, Chinese and Indian influences. Besides delicious street food, the event featured unique cultural performances that added to the exciting marketplace environment. All food samples was offered free of charge. The culinary event was presented by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) to promote Malaysian cuisine and restaurants in the United States
