Jaguar Enthusiasts
(TOP) Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club

XK120 over the Santa Monica Pier on Friday, October 10, 2008. After two weeks
and over two-thousand miles, the 57 UK-based Jaguar Enthusiast Club
(JEC) members completed their tour of historic Route 66. The Jaguars
were imported and unpackaged from shipping containers in Chicago. The cars will be
shipped back to Europe. The Jaguar Enthusiast Club was formed in 1984 by members
of other Jaguar clubs, for the enthusiast who not only used, but maintained or
restored their Jaguar. The club hosts multiple events for its members throughout
the year, publishes a monthly magazine, and boasts the largest selection of
Jaguar memorabilia.

The Irish 66'ers are coming

66'ers, a group of 75 Irish motorcyclist, ride
their Harley's over the Santa Monica Pier on Wednesday, October 08,
2008. (3) Retired Irish police officer and road captain Tony Toner, 54, (left) and
ride organizer Michael Walsh, on Wednesday celebrate the end of their Route 66
journey on the Santa Monica Pier, which some believe is the end of the storied
route. The ride started in Chicago nine days ago. The Irish motorcyclists
traveled 2,448 miles along the historic route to raise money for a new Cystic
Fibrosis and Respiratory Unit at Temple Street Children's University
Hospital. The Irish 66ers raised more than $500,000. Each rider was required
to raise $10,000 each.
