Award winning Journalist Michael Sean Comerford finishes his 10 week, 2,500 mile cross-country bike ride on Route 66, Monday, May 10, 2021. Comerford rode his bicycle from Chicago to Santa Monica videotaping people in small and large towns talking about their lives in a Pandemic for a documentary, "The Story Cycle: Americans in a Pandemic.“
Comerford began the ride after the polar vortex froze much of the Midwest and Southern states in February. In the snow and winter, he crossed Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, Barstow, Victorville, Cajon Junction, and ended at the Santa Monica Pier.
