Bomb dogs
1-2) Santa Monica Police Department K9 Officer Ken Sickles and his partner Buddy, a 10year-old Belgian Malinois - who is trained to find explosives, search along the Third Street Promenade on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 during their weekly practice drills. Officer Sickles and Buddy have been partners for the past 7 years. Buddy was the first 'Bomb Dog' in the SMPD. 3) SMPD K9 Officer Roberto Villegas and his partner Nero, a 4 year-old Belgian Malinois, search along the Third Street Promenade for explosives. Both Buddy and Nero successfully found the explosives.
