Inkie (big purple head) escorts pedestrians across main street on Saturday, October 14, 2006 in an effort  to prevent Jay walking and educate tourist during the 11th Biennial International Gynecologic Cancer Society Convention. Members of the Santa Monica's visitors Bureau, the SMPD and Ikie assist with foot traffic arriving for the event over the weekend at the Santa Monica Civic Center. As many countries permit jaywalking, often time tourist don't know local jaywalking laws and fines.
