1) Santa Monica College  Cosmetology  Students Emelie Wallenas, 23, (who hails from Sweden) styles a futuristic hairdo on Danielle Rurvis, 24, an international student from Norway, during a hair styling show, 'The Future from the Past' on  Thursday, March 8, 2007. The hair show was part of SMC's Professional Development Day, "A Trip To The Future."  Santa Monica College students had the day off from school on Thursday while the  staff spent the day on campus in seminars ranging from MS Outlook 2003: beyond E-mail to Podcasting 101.The SMC professors and staff were entertained by  musical theatre and a dance performances and a  hair and fashions show with a 'look into the future' theme. 2) Veronica Martinelli, 32 a cosmetology student at SMC, gets made-up by her fellow cosmetology class mates.
