introduction by special guest filmmaker Bruce Brown. As a venue for surf movies
since its opening, the auditorium played a role in Southern California’s surfing
culture. The Surfing Heritage Foundation celebrated that rich history with an
exhibit. Academy Award and Rock and Roll historical memorabilia from the
Civic’s archives were also displayed.
