Shop ’til It Stops

Laura Leighton of "Melrose Place" and Tim Gunn of "Project Runway" walk through the symbolic exhibit "Tunnel of Hope" with domestic violence survivors Kathryn and Dallas from Sojourm, a Los Angeles-area domestic violence shelter, during Marshalls annual Shop ’til It Stops campaign at the Third Street Promenade  on Thursday, October 1, 2009.  The exhibit, which is comprised of six unique arches, features information about the cause, the names of the many organizations who have worked tirelessly to put an end to domestic violence and celebrity audio messages of support from Jennifer Love Hewitt, Joe Torre, Rosie Perez, Martina McBride, Vivica Fox, Robin Givens, Chaka Khan, Michael Bolton, and more….  Buying a pair of shoes at any Marshalls store between October 1 and 15, 2009 will benefit the Hotline. As part of the Marshalls Shop ’til It Stops program, $1 will be donated to the National Domestic Violence Hotline for each pair of shoes sold during this period (up to $150,000). For the last 15 years Marshalls has been committed to the prevention of domestic violence. Since the programs inception, more than $1 million has been donated to this important cause. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
