NATIVITY SCENE

The Santa Monica Nativity Scenes is an annual display of the Christmas story which has been staged at Palisades Park since 1953. The interdenominational display stretches along Ocean Avenue from Arizona Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard and includes 14 scenes with life-size figures depicting events surrounding Christ’s birth.

Brings back memories of walking by these every December (in the 70s/80s) with my grandparents when they would come into town. Not religious, but somehow comforted that they are still there and haven't been a casualty of political correctness. Thank you!
