Santa Monica Police Chief Timothy J. Jackman (left) and Officer Murphy respond to a call on the Santa Monica Pier involving an intoxicated man on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. The man was taken into custody. Chief Jackman periodically goes on patrol with one of his officers.
