In celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 150 Skaters push-off from Santa Monica Beach during Boarding for Breast Cancer’s Fifth Annual Skate the Coast on Saturday, October 29, 2011.
Skate the Coast is an 18-mile longboard-a-thon event that started at Santa Monica Pier and ended at Redondo Beach Riviera Plaza as part of the Be Healthy. Get Active. Ride! Initiative to promote participation in board sports and a positive approach to living a healthy, active lifestyle.

BOARDING FOR BREAST CANCER (B4BC) is a 501c3 youth-focused non-profit foundation that advocates early detection + a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention. Since 1996, B4BC has been dedicated to providing education, support and prevention programs, including the Be Healthy. Get Active.
