Route 66 Road Trip

Retired U.S. Navy  Captain and current Litchfield City Administrator Andy Ritchie, 66, with his biking friend Mark Stieren, 52, departs from 66 to Cali at the Santa Monica Pier on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Ritchie will be cycling from Santa Monica to Chicago on Route 66 to raise money for a Litchfield, Illinois Museum & Route 66 Welcome Center. He will be cycling approximately 2,400 miles total with a daily ride of about 80 miles. He is riding a Gold Rush recumbent bicycle built in America by Easy Racers. Ritchie plans on arriving on Sunday, June 3.
