TWO GREEN THUMBS

Master Gardener and English Professor Dana Morgan demonstrates how to save seeds from heirloom tomatoes during “Saving & Planting Heirloom Seeds” gardening workshop at Santa Monica College’s Organic Learning Garden on Thursday, September 6, 2012. The students learned how to clean, dry, and store seeds for planting next spring.

This eco-facility is an opportunity for the entire SMC community to participate in experiential learning, to grow their own food, to practice sustainability, and to better understand food systems and the impact they have on our planet, bodies, and culture.
