Active Aging Older Adults Mobility Expo Showcases Resources for Senior Residents

On Saturday, June 3, a gathering of older adults aged 62 and above was held at Clover Park, inviting them to participate in the Active Aging Older Adults Mobility Expo. The event aimed to exhibit a wide range of resources, programs, and technologies designed to assist senior residents in their travel needs within and near the Santa Monica region, all without the reliance on personal vehicles.

The Active Aging Older Adults Mobility Expo provided attendees with an exceptional opportunity to engage directly with program staff and learn more about various active mobility resources, including the Active Aging Pilot Program, Metro On the Move Riders Club, Big Blue Bus, Lyft MODE, and others. By having direct access to the program staff, participants could engage in conversations and gain valuable insights about the various offerings, ultimately making more informed decisions about their mobility options.

The Expo not only offered informative sessions but also incorporated group activities, providing an engaging and active environment for attendees. Participants were encouraged to partake in these activities, which aimed to promote physical movement and an overall sense of well-being among older adults.

The event was scheduled to commence at 9:00 am and concluded at 12:00 pm. Located at Clover Park, the Expo provided a convenient and accessible venue for all attendees.

The Active Aging Older Adults Mobility Expo served as a valuable platform, bridging the gap between older adults and the resources available to them. By showcasing a diverse range of programs and technologies, the event sought to empower senior residents and enable them to navigate the region with ease, ensuring they maintain an active and independent lifestyle.
