Beautify Earth

Evan Meyer,  co-founder of  Beautify Earth, paint a mural at Main Street, Santa Monica on Sunday, April 12, 2020.  The mural was commissioned by Beautify Earth. Beautify Earth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and international movement that creates impactful murals in neglected areas by engaging with brands, cities, developers, small businesses, neighborhood organizations, schools, and individuals. Their work is fun and creative yet always civic-minded and harnesses our team’s energetic and responsively rebellious spirit.


The movement networks artists, volunteers, and leaders around the idea that physical change through art creates wellness and positive emotional living experiences. Together they create visual change that resonates positive change through the urban fabric.

Beautify Earth is the recipient of the Cultural Tourism Champion Award from the California Travel Association.

THE VICTORIAN OPEN MARKET

The Victorian has launched an outdoor market as a community service. Open 10am - 5pm, Monday through Saturday. You may find necessary items that may be difficult to find at many stores - paper products, meat, and produce. The Victorian is located directly across the driveway from the California Heritage Museum at 2640 Main Street.

Santa Monica Civic Center Multipurpose Sports Field

The turf has been installed at the Santa Monica Civic Center Multipurpose Sports Field, Friday, February 21, 2020. ! Slated to open in summer of 2020, the community sports field will serve Santa Monicans of all ages with space to play soccer, rugby, and lacrosse. This project is a part of multiple investments to the Santa Monica Civic Center. More information about projects, construction, and impacts in the area is available at santamonica.gov/civiccenter.
