The new Food Truck Lot opens at California Heritage Museum's parking lot on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. The Food Truck Lot will be open every Tuesday night from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Featured at the Food Truck Lot were Nom Nom, No Reservations, Coolhaus, Don Chow Tacos, Ahn -Joo, India Jones, Phamich and Calbi. The Victorian Bar  provided seating and alcoholic drinks.

Family Day encouraging families to spend time doing activities that strengthen the family unit - by eating, playing, serving and preparing together. Family day is also about celebrating the message that we are all a part of the California family! Research  has consistently found that the more often kids eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to smoke, drink, or use drugs.

DAY FOR KIDS

The  annual event highlighting the value of meaningful time between caring adults and children.  This year’s theme is Pledge to Play and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) is asking adults to spend meaningful time with a young person by engaging in active play. Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica is one of hundreds of Day for Kids events planned nationwide.
