Focusing on the human element, sixteen youth from PAL and Boys and Girls Club participated in summer workshops and met with local vendors, gardners, farmers and a chef to learn about how food is planted, harvested, produced and consumed as part of the Farmer’s Market movement. The program included a cooking demonstration by Locanda Del Lago Executive Chef Roberto Maggioni  and a planting workshop by Master Gardener Susan McCorry, and a gallery walk followed by a video presentation and a youth panel serving as a spring board for breakout sessions based on the summer workshops.
